...M.Tech. Admission in DAIICT are not based on cast..so all seats are general..
There are four types of specialization in M.Tech.
* VLSI
* Communication Systems (Comm. Sp.)
* Machine Intelligence (MI Sp.)
* Computer Networks (NW Sp.)
There are total 50 seats - VLSI(12) + CS(12) + MI(12) + CN(12) + 2 seats vary based on which specialization is more demanded by students.
A Merit list (around 200 students) is prepared based on the GATE Result of students who have applied for admission.
All students will be asked to present at DAIICT on the day of admission procedure.
Students will be informed about the documents and fees which they have to bring with them.
(Fees will not be accepted by CASH, u have to come with Check or Draft at DAIICT)
Students will be called one by one in the order of their rank in merit list..
He/She will be asked to select in which specialization they want to get admission ?
If the seats in that specialization is available- then ur admission in that specialization is conformed and u need to pay your fees..
otherwise you will asked to choose another specialization in which seats are available.
At that time, if you do not want to go to any other specialization then you will be listed in waiting list of ur current specialization only if u pay the fees at that time. In this case u will be informed later on weather seat is available otherwise u will be given information about how to get refund of ur fees.
If u r 4m computer background then NW or MI will be better..
VLSI will be good for EC students.
If u have strong command on electronic circuit choose VLSI..
else CS will be good for students having command on signal theories.
If u want to cancel ur admission later then u need to inform it to DAIICT then cheque of your refund (usuall 1000 Rs. will be deducated from ur fees) will be send to you within 1 month.
